These trips will be primarily focused on understanding the work of Robin Hood and gaining an overview of the projects that we are delivering in partnership with the Way of Joy Project Centre in Iasi. The average RHM trip consists of between 9 and 12 persons. Our experience of previous trips is that they are exciting adventures where new friends are made and lives are changed both in Romania and the UK.
Read what people have to say about their experience on an Awareness Trip:
-
An amazing experience, full of contradictions and emotions resulting in lasting reflections, and a new and timely awareness of the fragility of human existence. Sally Vanson - The Performance Solution.
-
Both my trips with Robin Hood to Romania and Tanzania have given me a rare insight to the strength found in individuals despite hardship and trauma. I also saw the strength that can be found in groups of like-minded people. Bernadette O'Hare

What can I say... life changing? yes, life changing is exactly what the trip was to me. It made me think about my own life and to be honest I didnt want to leave because I really wanted to stay there and help. You have to go and experience it.. to see it through your own eyes. These are amazing people doing amazing things and they need our help. Something happened to me out there and it was definitely an amazing thing. There are no words in the dictionary to explain, you just have to go and you will understand. Kirsty Philllips
And now read what the project workers say about the visitors:
For many years I was an observer, seeing people come to my country, be curious and asking lots of questions and then returning to their own country. A lot of them never came back and we never heard anything further from them. But with Robin Hood Minstries Awareness trips, the people that come to see us, actually see and feel the situation. They ask us the same questions, but add "what can I do to help you".
We respect their time they share with us, the problems we face and their wish to visit the poor families, to hug the children, for the interest they show in helping the poor. Maybe they don't fully understand the situation, maybe they don't understand our culture, but the tears that we see in their eyes bring us together. Adrian Mihai - Director Way of Joy
